*Family is important to us at Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. Blood cancers affect thousands of families and our aim is to make sure everyone has the very best chance of survival by funding the very best research. This work is only possible thanks to our brilliant family of supporters.

You can meet some of them below.

Annette How*
Annette
My name is Annette and I am the regional fundraiser for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research covering the South East. I have been working for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research for ten years, and my work is extremely varied and rewarding. Read more here.

Elaine Willmore*
Elaine
I’m Dr Elaine Willmore and I'm a Senior Research Associate at the Northern Institute for Cancer Research in Newcastle. I manage a research group that performs experiments to find out the most effective use of new drugs for Leukaemia. We investigate specific biological targets within a cell to identify the location at which new drugs can act. Read more here.

Tom Day*
Tom
I’m Tom and I’ve been running marathons to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research since 2001 when my dad, Robert, was diagnosed and then sadly died of leukaemia. I was due to run the 2008 London Marathon when just a month before, doctors discovered a bone tumour the size of a fist in my pelvis. Read more here.

Tony Audenshaw*
Tony
I'm Tony and you probably best know me for my role as the Woolpack's amorous barman Bob Hope, in ITV1's Emmerdale. I'm a regular in Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research's TVTimes Running Team and I'm very proud to hold the title for Fastest Celebrity at both the Flora London Marathon and BUPA Great North Run, 3 years running!
